Creative Kid’s is a State licensed family childcare home providing quality care, since 1992, for children three months to five years of age. It is owned and operated by myself, Cathy Ezzo-Nathan. I am licensed by the Department of Health to care for six pre-school children and three before and after school children.
Before going into business for my self I worked part time with my mother in her family child care home (1985-1990) and later as her full time Assistant in her group child care home (1990-1992). There I was responsible for the nurturing and caring of the infants enrolled in her program, as well as, the menu planning for all the children involved.
I am a member of the National Association for Family Child Care, The National Association for the Education of Young Children, and a participant in the Saugatuck Outreach Nutrition Program, which educates providers in nutrition through home visits and training workshops
The key to quality childcare is the education of those providing the care, each year I seek out additional training to promote this cause. I have held a Child Development Associates Credential (CDA) from The Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition and have achieved the Gold Plus level of the Connecticut Family Day Care Association Networks S.T.E.P. Achievement Award. I am also certified in infant/toddler CPR and first Aid.
